Welcome! My name is Raewyn and I am the founder of UMAMA Yoga. I am a Mother, Yogi and Business Coach. My intention is to educate and build community through movement, breath work and spiritual connection.
I use my extensive training and in-depth understanding of the human body and psyche to teach and cultivate awareness of one’s own practice and life process. I weave this knowledge through my coaching to support you in reaching your goals in life and business.
I have a passion for women's health and working with children. This is at the root of many of my practices with an emphasis on supporting women through prenatal care, birthing and beyond. I also work within preschools and playgroups and treasure the opportunity to introduce the ancient concepts of yoga to children and their families.

These are all common fears I hear from new students who are contemplating beginning a yoga practice. The truth is, If you have a body, you can practice yoga!

VIN YIN Yoga

My Yoga Space, Thirlmere
Vin/Yin is a marriage of the strong, yang Vinyasa Yoga with the receptive Yin Yoga. Active, yet grounding sun salutations and standing flows are offered in the first half of class to enliven the body and chase away any fatigue.
The Yin half of class, on the other hand, offers passive, seated and supine poses that are held for anywhere from 2 – 7 minutes on each side. The Yin aspect helps to switch off fight-or-flight mode, promoting balance throughout the nervous system and allowing for a sense of peace and relaxation.
Open to all levels. Safe modifications for pregnant students also available.

Ground your child in mindfulness through the practice of Kids Yoga. These classes support children in building confidence and awareness in their bodies. Classes focus on breath work, movement and meditation. These classes are for EVERYBODY and foster an inclusive community. Fun and engaging, your child will leave with a sense of peace and presence.
